The Dark Mother's Garden: Movement & Magic at Midwinter

Join us for an intimate workshop weaving together somatic movement and tarot wisdom.
As we gather at the winter solstice, we'll explore themes of necessary decay, sacred darkness, and the deep rest that nature calls us toward.

Our journey begins with a somatic journey, where we'll connect with the living darkness of the earth beneath us.
Through guided practice, we'll explore the wisdom held in cycles of letting go and renewal. There will space and prompts for journalling after.

We'll then transition into an intimate tarot circle, using the cards' rich imagery to reflect on our experience and share the insights that emerge. Together, we'll honour winter's invitation to turn inward and rest in the fertile darkness.

Your space holders…

Ami Robertson (they/them): Trauma informed somatic therapist and embodied movement practitioner. Ami has a deep curiosity for life, the mystery and our human experience. Most of their work is walking alongside people as they explore their trauma and do the great work of meeting themselves. They work with many modalities and embodied movement and dance is one of their favourite ways to gather people to explore to the arts of remembering & reclaiming. Ami’s work is in line with the cyclical nature of life, deepening into the relentless truth of death & rebirth.

Lauren O'Hara (she/they): is a multifaceted coach specialising in Focalizing, an intuitive somatic modality that taps into the body's innate capacity for healing. She creates a gentle, generative space for folks to integrate the body into various personal growth journeys. With a particular interest in supporting those navigating neurocomplexity, Lauren incorporates tools like tarot, ritual, and creative practices into her work as gateways to deeper layers of intuition and connection.

What you will need to bring: A journal, a blindfold for the practice (completely optional, this is just an offering to maybe deepen your experience), water & a snack, an offering for the altar, this could be something from the land or something that connects you to the scared pause of winter and a candle.
